I just finished up the digital image manipulation painting I did for worth1000. I did pretty good, I think I placed 14 out of the 48 in the advanced photoshop contest part. Tell me what you think and any critiques are good. thanks

YAY Art Contest

I entered a graphic contest with one of my art pieces. So far my art has done pretty well in it. I found a lot of studios and motion graphic artist places that look very appealing to me for when I graduate and get out there in the working world, I put up links that might be helpful to the rest of you motion graphic artists and VFX designers.

I really can't wait to get out into this industry and working in my related field. there is just so much you can do these days with all of the programs and software now. I would love to learn it all and incorporate everything I learn into my art and work. I hope to be working for a major post production company one day and maybe even own my own.

Race 4 Humanity

For the last year or so I have been working on creating and branding a soon to be television show called Race 4 Humanity. We filmed it in Zitacuaro Mexico with a crew and cast to create a promotional piece for the pilot to sell to the networks. I was involved throughout the whole process from the pre-production to post production. I am actually in the process of rebuilding our site right now to be a flash based with high quality images and animations.
I have just actually finished designing and developing the website for our show so we can post it up to show our product to the networks. It still need to be posted on its url and have the correct content put into it but that will be finished this weekend and I will update my blog with another post for it. We will be taking meeting with all major networks so it must be clear and impressive. My job was to brand all the artwork and style of the show. Its been a long journey but I am hoping for the best in the end.

Baby Tattoos

This was a 3d animated object created in Maya using rendering layers that were inputed into after effects over baby photograph. Then I used masking to create the effect of the 3d object to go around and behind the baby. It was a very long process to animate the mask to be exact. The tattoos were created in photoshop, then I exported them into after effects in there layers to work one tattoo at a time. Sound was the last thing added to create the effect of the tattoo gun.

Motion Graphic 30sec Altruism Promo

This was a 30 sec promo motion graphics project for one of my classes. Graphics were created by me using Illustrator and photoshop. I started off with the sound track and rough pencil sketches a brief description of how the animation would play out.
I used after effects to animate and composite all 3d objects. I did a lot of vector painting and used some 3d layers. The music was created especially for this piece, I created it in soundtrack pro and made sure it ended in exactly 30 seconds. The piece was made to be music driven to move the animation along by hitting key marks and flow with each sound.

Curious

This is a animation I did in 3d studio max. It was one of my first animations integrating 2 characters to interact to each other. Its very simple but I think it was a pretty good and effective.
